About Me

My name is Supriya. I live in Wisconsin. I enjoy playing tennis with my family. I have been in Wisconsin from the last fifteen years, but I am still not used to this cold weather, yet fall is my favorite season!I have been in the United States from the last 14 years and I have been in the Midwest since then. I grew up in India. I like warm weather, spicy food, and I like to listen to classical Indian music. Some of my hobbies include singing, dancing, gardening, cooking, and drawing. I have worked as a teacher back in India. I left my job so that I could come here and join my husband, who came in America eighteen months before me for his IT-Project. We were in Illinois when I first came to America, and that is when I first got to see snow. I can never forget how excited I was! Soon, we moved to Madison. We were two then and now we are family of four. I have two kids. I have been home and enjoyed every moment I have spent with them, we traveled, visited our family back in India.

When my daughter started school, that is when I started thinking about going back to work. After volunteering in school for a few years, I realized that teaching is not something I would like to do. I was not sure about what I was going to do next. So, I decided to work part-time at a retail store where I could meet new people and brush up my communication skills. I worked until one day, I had to stay home because of the pandemic. We have been home since March, all this time we have been together, doing what we have not been able to do in our busy lives, making memories. My husband and I were deciding about me going back to school. After all these years, after such a big gap, I was super excited to go back to school and learn about new technologies.

Currently, I am a student at Western Technical Collage attending the Web and Software Development program. One of the reasons I chose this career is because IT is not an isolated industry. It overlaps with every other sector, which makes it a versatile career opportunity. I am very excited to launch my first website. I will have more to share as I learn in my class.
